Perhaps the only people more relieved to hear that Orange’s lockdown would be lifted than those who had waited weeks for a haircut, were the hairdressers themselves. Salon owner Ms Thornberry was also relieved after six weeks of being closed during the lockdown to finally reopen. “In view of the sanitary order, it is the rule of one person for 4 m², or capped at five people maximum, or capped at five people maximum. We know that there are many hairdressing salons which have the ability to do more than that and have that space without a problem, âSaunders said.
âWe are quite talking about it with the office of the Minister of Health and also with the office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
“I’m hopeful, but no decision has been made on this yet, but we hope there can be some flexibility on this soon.”
