Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Members of Hindu Sena in Gwalior held a protest at a franchise salon of Jawed Habib on Sunday, which is the subject of controversy for using his saliva to comb a woman’s hair in a viral video.

Although the owner of the franchised salon in Gwalior covered up the board of directors amid growing protests against hairstylist Jawed Habib, members of Hindu Sena removed the board of directors and reportedly ransacked the salon.

Hindu Sena State President Sanjay Agrawal threatened the owner of the franchise lounge with shutting down the business or Sena would damage it again.

Jawed Habib’s franchise lounge is located in the town’s Inderganj locality and is owned by Mansi Udwani.

Udwani told reporters that she had invested thousands of rupees to establish the franchise. “How can I close my business? I invested money in it. I am also a Hindu and most of my clients are Hindus, ”she added.

She further indicated that she had filed a complaint with the police and demanded action against those who vandalized her business establishment.

Police Commissioner (SP) Amit Sanghi said an investigation into the case had been ordered and action would be taken shortly.

Notably, various Hindu outfits protested against hairstylist Jawed Habib after his video of him spitting on a woman’s head to style her hair during a workshop went viral on social media.

On Friday, Karni Sena protested against two Habib franchised salons in Indore and forced the owners to close their stores.
